New global network to advance intangible asset valuation practices

The Global Challenge: While intangible assets currently make up the majority of business value worldwide, there is still no globally consistent or trusted framework for valuing them.

The Founders: The network unites leading organizations from the intellectual property and commercialization communities, including INTA, IVSC, LESI, WIPO, IPOS, and IVAS.

Why it matters: Credible, decision-ready valuations are increasingly essential for securing finance, structuring business deals, and shaping national innovation strategies.

Wat the network will do: The IAVN will convene dialogues among policymakers and IP experts, develop practical tools like case studies and guidance, and build a shared knowledge repository accessible to practitioners worldwide.

What's next: The founding members are initiating a three-year pilot program to lay the foundation for deeper international cooperation and advance high-quality valuation practices.
