My name is Aamir Sheikh. I am a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Chartered Accountant with both Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (CA(M)).
With over 14 years of dedicated experience in auditing and accounting, I have worked extensively on the practical application of numerous accounting standards. My goal with this website is to move beyond dry textbook definitions to provide practical insights, examples, and summaries. In a nutshell, a one-stop solution.
Beyond the Numbers I believe that great accounting requires clear communication. I am an Associate Member of the Australian Society of Authors and have written books on 'ChatGPT', exploring how technology intersects with professional fields, and 'IFRS 18 – Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements', etc. I was also honoured to receive a Platinum Award for my article, "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Corporate World."
The IFRS Library is built on a philosophy of continuous improvement. The content is regularly reviewed and will keep getting polished as we move ahead in the journey!
